603 Welding and Erection does two trades that usually arrive as two contracts: standing the steel, and welding it. Zachary Oak founded the company in Manchester in 2024 to run both from one outfit.
Most of the work is commercial.

How he got into it, in his own words:
I got into welding and steel Erection through my father who has been in this trade for the past 25 years. I was able to learn most of my skills from him from a very young age. I started 603 Welding and Erection because I believe in making a difference in the trade, being reliable, thorough and getting the job done right the first time.
There was no trade school - job sites instead. He has ten years in the trade of his own.
He holds AWS D1.1 for structural steel, AWS D1.8 for seismic detailing, and works as an AWS Certified Welder. What he gets called for most is the part other companies find hardest: "A lot of our work is doing the structural welding for other steel erection companies due to the fact that they can not comfortably do so in a timely manner or up to inspectors criteria." That is welding other erectors bring in.
He runs flux core wire feed, plus stick, MIG, oxy-fuel cutting and carbon arc gouging, in carbon steel — A992 and A36. Safety tickets: OSHA 10 and 30, fall protection, rigging and signalling, confined space, hot work.
He served in the US Army from 2018 to 2026.
The complaint Zachary hears most about this trade is availability — his words: "In our trade everyone typically gets slow or busy at the same time."
