The owner
I got into welding and steel erection through my father. He has been in this trade for 25 years, and I learned most of what I know from him, from a very young age.
There was no trade school. What I have came from him and from doing the work - which is why I started 603 Welding and Erection in 2024. Be reliable, be thorough, get it right the first time, and the same people keep calling.
The biggest complaint I hear about this trade is availability: everyone gets busy at once, and the work suffers for it. I would rather show up when I said I would than take on more than I can stand behind.
What that means for you is one contractor for the steel and the welding. The work follows the drawings and the engineer specification, and inspections are called in through the job.

Structural inspectors are called in through the phases, and there is a final inspection at the end.
New construction carries the standard one-year warranty. Beyond that term, Zachary’s own position is that if something is wrong he will “usually go out and take care of the issue no questions asked” — his personal commitment, not a contract term.
The core trade
The welding trade is the core of this company. Four services, all carbon steel, all done where the work is.
Welds getting kicked back, or an erector who cannot cover the weld scope in time? We run flux core wire feed on moment connections, wind brace and column splices, to AWS D1.1 and D1.8. Other steel companies hire us for exactly this - weld details done to code, stamped drawings through to final inspection.
Some things cannot come to a shop. The truck carries a diesel welder, leads and LN-25 wire feeders to your site, your yard, or the middle of a field. Flux core, MIG, stick, oxy-fuel cutting and carbon arc gouging - bringing the welder to site anywhere within 100 miles of Manchester.
A plow frame lets go and the whole snow removal route stops - the example Zachary gives himself, because landscapers call with it every winter. Emergency equipment repair is available 24/7, and calls come back the same day. When something breaks and work stops, emergency repairs around the clock are the fastest way back.

Erection scope
Steel arriving in Manchester with nobody to set it? We take the bid invite and the erection drawings, place the crane, shake out the iron, and stand columns floor by floor. Then plumbing, bolting and torquing to spec, bar joists flown and bridged, metal decking landed and welded off. Structural welding is offered alongside the erection scope, so setting columns beams and joists runs from the first column to the last deck weld.
Misc metals scope
The steel a building needs after the frame is up. Catwalks and mezzanines, handrail and guardrail, steel plate and grating, rooftop equipment supports and miscellaneous metals, all in carbon steel. Recent work has included grillage frames, rooftop unit frames, railings and grating on a job in Massachusetts - access steel and misc metals made to the drawing.
Access scope
Stairs hung floor by floor while the building goes up around them. Stringers, channel headers and stair pans set from above as we climb, bolted into headers or columns depending on the detail. The pans go in as the stair climbs so there is something safe to work up off. For new construction across NH and MA, steel stairs hung floor by floor keep the whole job moving upward.

Repair scope
Trailer repair in carbon steel, on site or in the yard. One of the reviews on the Google profile is a customer whose dump trailers were welded and who could not transport them, so the work went to him. If a trailer is sitting instead of hauling, cracked frames and bent ramps are worth a call before it is replaced.
Yard scope
New Hampshire winters are hard on equipment. Heavy equipment repair, bucket and attachment repair and cutting edge and wear plate work, in carbon steel. Landscapers call through the winter with emergency plow repairs that stop a snow removal route. Because the welder travels, equipment welded in your yard saves hauling a machine anywhere.
